Backtracking 2010: October

Halloween just gets more and more fun every year, it seems. Clara was really into it and knew what she wanted to be back in the summer. Trevor knew he wanted to be a NASCAR driver but it all depended on which driver I could find. We visited pumpkin patches, had a field trip and party at preschool, carved pumpkins, and of course, went trick or treating around our neighborhood.
Here we are: A friendly witch, a ghostbuster, Strawberry Shortcake, and Jeff Gordon.

Halloween Party at Preschool! Do you seem him in the back?

Field trip to the the Nature Center. Trevor and his buddies had lots of fun walking through the woods looking for animal tracks. Clara came, too!

Trick or Treating with friends!

Notice Trevor's gloves? It wasn't too chilly when we started out but it was a great way to keep him safe from people's potentially peanut filled candy buckets. We also gave away all but a few pieces of their Halloween candy to a local dentist office for their Candy BuyBack program. We ended up giving about 8lbs away to send to troops overseas. I hope they enjoyed those snicker bars!

Our pumpkin! Trevor designed the one on the left and Clay did the one on the right for Clara. It's her beloved Tucker the Turtle.

Halloween Party and Parade at the library! The kids got to help with one of the songs they sang. Clara turned very shy when she was up there in front of everyone.

Don't you love Trevor's Jeff Gordon pose?

Yee Haw! Clara is now obsessed with horses.

What's more fun than jumping into a pile of straw with your face painted!?

It was so hot this day, the kids could really have worn shorts and still been hot.
Cheese!!!!! (On a sidenote, Trevor is wearing this costume as I write this... Best $10 I ever spent on a costume!)
