So, a little update on what Clara is doing now. She is already growing out of some of her 0-3 mos clothes. I've been trying on some of her 3-6mos stuff and it fits pretty good. She started smiling (real smiles, not just gas smiles or pee smiles) around 4-5 weeks. Now they are getting more frequent and easier to get from her. She loves when I get right in her face and tell her how pretty she is. But, then, what girl wouldn't like that, right? She also really coos when I do that, too. We've already had some pretty good cooing conversations between us. We've heard some squeels, too, when she's playing, but those still don't happen too much. She does NOT like tummy time unless it's on her colorful animal play mat. (There's a picture with her on it in a previous post.) However, then she doesn't even try to lift her head. Instead, she rubs her face on it and licks it. I guess she really likes the material and the colors. She is sleeping sooo much better at night now. She'll usually go down for the night at 10pm and she won't wake up until 3:30 or 4am, sometimes even 5am!!! Then, she goes back down to sleep until 7:30am or 8am. She likes her bath on most nights. She doesn't like getting put in her carseat but is fine after awhile. And, she is getting baptized on Sunday at our church. That's pretty much what is going on with Clara.
Now, since I've updated on her, I should probably update on what Trevor has accomplished. He is a little over 2 1/2 yrs old and is sooo big! He wears 3T and 4T clothes (depending on the brand). He's been working on his letters and can pick out almost all of them with only a few mistakes. He likes to sing the ABC song but leaves out a chunk in the middle. At the end he says, "Now I know my letters...sing with me." He can count to 10 in English AND Spanish. He's a fan of Diego if that tells you anything. It was funny though, one day we were playing and I asked him how many cars he has and he counts all 6 of them in Spanish. He knows all of his colors including "golden" as he calls it. He loves doing puzzles. He can do the 25 piece ones all by himself. He also likes doing his United States map puzzle. He can pick out California, Alaska, Louisiana, Illinois, Texas, the Great Lakes, and Wisconsin most of the time. Sometimes he even gets Montana, Florida and North Dakota. He loves coloring, painting, reading books, playdoh, racecars, diggers, trains, motorcycles, tractors.... He thinks every red car he sees is Lightening McQueen and every semi truck in Mac from the movie Cars. He is always coming up with ideas to make things better or fix something or for something to do. He likes to talk to strangers. He gets along really well with kids that he knows and ones that he just meets. He's potty trained with only an occaisonal accident (except at night of course). I haven't even been putting him in pull ups when we are out in public. He LOVES music and instruments. His favorite is his guitar. He likes to make up songs and put on concerts for us, complete with "concert clothes" and a stage where he introduces himself. He also likes to stick his microphone in between the couch coushins and then play the piano and sing at the same time. And best of all, he's the BEST big brother!! He loves Clara so much! Oh and in a few weeks he will be starting to run races (non competitive) with other kids his age and he'll get a trophy at the end of the summer! More details on that later!
Enjoy the pictures. I'm off the clean the house!! It's only 11:40pm...that's normal right?
